[...] "Andy Warhol's Factory was the New York artist hotspot in the 1960s. The Spaghetti Factory in Bern has not been around quite as long. Nevertheless, Rudi Bindella Jr., together with his team and the Swiss artist duo Müller Tauscher, has given the venerable "Spaghi" a facelift - including an eccentric mural of Edie Sedgwick, Warhol's muse. The spaghetti variations, from classic to exotic, are also impressive and are served "al minuto and al dente". Young, fresh, uncomplicated and good value. The best thing is to try it for yourself." [...]
The ambience in the time-honoured spaghetti factory is rounded off by the video installation "hall of fame". 24 portraits of pastas appear one after the other in video collages and rotate alternately between the frames.
Selected film sequences are processed into video loops without hard cuts and each is juxtaposed with a pasta. The selection and juxtaposition of the individual films is primarily intuitive.
The specific composition of the images and the rhythm of movement lead to strong compositional confrontations. In terms of content, the individual portraits take up everyday situations or political themes, react to each other conceptually or formally, present them humorously to sarcastically, always aesthetically.
Through animation and content, the "picture" attracts the attention of the viewer, who inevitably associates personally.
